Dog with liquid in her stomach gets the help she needs to recover

Helping a stray dog ​​is one of the greatest acts of love that anyone can do. We cannot deny that the reality for these furry ones is completely different.

Many of them spend their days facing a great battle, seeking shelter to avoid the high temperatures or the cold at night. Some in milder conditions submerge themselves in pain, expecting the worst by not receiving the necessary help.

This is the story of a dog that, for a long time, wandered from one place to another, begging for help. Passers-by watched her go by with a lost look, skeletal and dry skin.

She had quite a bulging stomach, those who saw her believed that she was pregnant, but in reality, she was going through a very difficult situation. Her situation was very complicated, so she needed immediate medical attention.

The dog spent much of the time crestfallen.

It was not until a passerby took pity on her and contacted a rescue group for her who arrived at the scene with the greatest emotion to save her and improve her living condition.

She was taken to a veterinary clinic, where she had x-rays, blood samples, and fluid tests done. This time she had the support of some people who patiently waited for the results.

Her rescuers filled several buckets with the serous fluid that they drained from her stomach.

She quickly ruled out that she was pregnant; she had liters of liquid in her stomach that caused her great pain; among her discomfort, the large size of her belly prevented her from walking easily.

During the first day, they extracted more than 10 liters, and little by little, her body was recovering its shape. The fluid was being drained, and the pain was fading away. Finally, her life of pain and misery was in the past.

When all the liquid was drained, her poor condition was even more evident; it was just skin and bones.

Several sessions were necessary to be able to extract all the liquid. The tests showed that she suffered from ascites, a disease that affects puppies in which a large amount of fluid accumulates in her abdomen.

This can cause a wide variety of symptoms such as sudden weight gain, discomfort in the stomach area, and loss of appetite. Studies show that it can occur due to a disorder in the internal organs or the lymph nodes.

In the most severe cases, Ascites can cause pressure on the diaphragm, thus causing a breathing disorder.

The puppy must suffer from ascites and be taken to the veterinarian to receive the appropriate treatment. Pet owners are also urged to be vigilant around their pup, as many may believe she has gained weight when she may be retaining fluid.

These symptoms can occur slowly or very suddenly in any case; you should always go to the veterinarian; the treatment may vary, but if there is an infection, taking antibiotics is essential.

The dog was named Fury.

This brave little dog proved to be quite a warrior; for the first time in a long time, she seemed to be calm, and she would finally be able to sleep and lead a healthy life surrounded by love. She spent several days in the clinic, but she successfully overcame this great battle.
